Joe’s Crab Shack-Style Crab Dip 🦀🧀🔥

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup lump crab meat (drained and picked through for shells)

  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Optional: chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

  • Tortilla chips, toasted bread, or crackers for serving


🔥 Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Mix the base:
    In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  3. Add flavor:
    Stir in the Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, Monterey Jack, and cheddar cheese.

  4. Fold in the crab:
    Gently fold in the lump crab meat to avoid breaking it up too much — you want nice chunks.

  5. Bake it:
    Transfer the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish (a small cast iron or casserole dish works great). Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly, and the top is golden.

  6. Garnish & serve:
    Top with fresh parsley or green onions if desired. Serve hot with chips, bread, or crackers.


💡 Pro Tip:

For extra cheesy goodness, sprinkle a little more shredded cheese on top before baking. Or, toss in a few dashes of hot sauce for a little kick! 🌶️
