Hot Italian Grinder Sandwich Bake

Ingredients (as seen in your image):

  • Sub rolls or hoagie rolls

  • Deli meats: ham, salami, pepperoni, etc. (chopped)

  • Cheese: provolone, mozzarella, or a mix (chopped or shredded)

  • Banana peppers or pepperoncini (chopped)

  • Onion, bell pepper, and tomato (optional)

  • Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper

  • Mayonnaise (about 2–3 tbsp)

  • Optional: Olive oil or garlic butter for brushing the rolls


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Mix the filling:

    • In a large bowl, combine all the chopped deli meats, cheese, peppers, and veggies.

    • Add mayo, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well.

  3. Prepare the bread:

    • Slice open the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet.

    • If you like, brush the insides with a bit of garlic butter or olive oil for extra flavor.

  4. Stuff the sandwich:

    • Load the meat and cheese mixture generously into each roll.

  5. Bake:

    • Place the sandwiches in the oven and bake for about 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is slightly toasted.

  6. Optional final step:

    • Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end if you want a crispier top.


Serving Tip:

Cut into halves or thirds for a party platter, or serve whole with chips or a salad.
