Baked Italian Sub Sandwiches

Hot, cheesy, and loaded with deli meats — perfect for lunch, dinner, or game day!
Ingredients (Makes 4 Subs):
• 4 sub rolls or hoagie buns
• ¼ lb salami
• ¼ lb ham
• ¼ lb pepperoni or capicola
• ¼ lb roast beef (optional for extra heartiness)
• 8 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
• ½ cup banana peppers or pepperoncini, sliced
• ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
• ½ cup Italian dressing
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted
• 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
• ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Assemble the Subs:
• Slice the sub rolls open but not all the way through.
• Brush the insides lightly with Italian dressing.
• Layer the meats, cheese, onions, and banana peppers inside each roll.
3. Top & Bake:
• Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment.
• Mix the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
• Brush the tops of the rolls generously with the butter mixture.
4. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
5. Serve Hot:
• Serve with olives, chips, or a side salad!
Tips:
• Want it spicy? Add crushed red pepper or spicy giardiniera.
• For a crispier crust, broil for the last 1–2 minutes.
• Customize with your favorite meats and cheeses — mortadella, turkey, or Swiss work great too!
